Flamingo Las Vegas Remodeling Hotel Rooms

Flamingo Las Vegas has announced plans to refurbish 2,307 hotel rooms transforming the resort’s standard rooms into stylish and contemporary accommodations. The all-new FAB rooms are on-sale now for guest arrivals beginning January 2, 2012.

Modern décor will encounter elements of simple luxury with splashes of signature Flamingo pink and warm, wood-toned furnishings and flooring designed to create a residential feel. Contemporary chaise lounges, patterned rugs and vintage Vegas framed artwork will create a stylish appeal while upgraded beds with ultra-soft pillow-top mattresses, plush linens and faux fur throws offer ultimate comfort. FAB rooms will also come equipped with 32-inch flat screen Plasma televisions. Rooms start at $85 per night.

KJ Kitchen Arriving at the Rio Hotel and Casino

Caesars Entertainment is proud to announce Las Vegas -based Chinese restaurant, KJ Kitchen, will be opening its second location inside Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino before the end of the year. KJ Dim Sum & Seafood Chinese Restaurant at Rio will provide guests the KJ Kitchen signature fresh selection of seafood prepared by a team of chefs trained in the tradition of authentic Chinese cuisine. Scheduled to open in December 2011, the new eatery will debut the first KJ Restaurant dim sum menu, available during lunch, which will bring a special element of the Chinese culture to casino guests and loyal KJ Kitchen diners interested in a new menu and setting.

The Venetian and The Palazzo on the Las Vegas Strip officially welcome the holidays with the inaugural Winter in Venice celebration including a musical performance from Grammy-nominated, platinum recording artist and season six “American Idol” winner, Jordin Sparks, today, Monday, November 21st.

Starting at 6 p.m. at The Venetian’s Doge’s Palace, adjacent to the outdoor gondolas, resort guests and the public are invited to experience the biggest event of the holiday season with strolling carolers and festive holiday characters before the stunning premiere of the Nightly Holiday Spectacular at 6:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy the over-the-top show featuring the lighting of an awe-inspiring 65-foot LED holiday tree.

Raise your glass of bubbly this New Year’s Eve at Bacio by Carla Pellegrino inside the all new Tropicana Las Vegas, where Executive Chef Carla Pellegrino will host a special New Year’s Eve Bacio Bash. The evening, featuring champagne, surprise DJs, party favors, a special four-course prix fixe menu and private viewing of the fireworks, will commence at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31.

Caesars Palace has announced it will hire a total of 450 employees with the opening of Octavius Tower on January 2, 2012. The resort’s sixth hotel tower will yield 3,960 total accommodations, bringing hundreds of new jobs to the Las Vegas market.

The resort is currently seeking qualified candidates for both front- and back-of-house positions in hotel operations, guest services and VIP services. Applications are currently being accepted online at www.caesars.com/employment.

The 668-room hotel tower will offer a unique and private luxury resort experience with an exclusive entrance, attentive staff and separate hotel lobby. The Venetian® and The Palazzo® on the Las Vegas Strip will officially welcome the holidays with the inaugural Winter in Venice™ celebration including a musical performance from Grammy-nominated, platinum recording artist and season six “American Idol” winner, Jordin Sparks, on Monday, Nov. 21.

Starting at 6 p.m. at The Venetian’s Doge’s Palace, adjacent to the outdoor gondolas, resort guests and the public are invited to experience the biggest event of the holiday season with strolling carolers and festive holiday characters before the stunning premiere of the Nightly Holiday Spectacular at 6:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy the over-the-top show featuring the lighting of an awe-inspiring 65-foot LED holiday tree.

Following the show, Jordin will treat the crowd to a special performance of some of her hit songs along with some holiday favorites before gracing the Winter in Venice white carpet. A ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open the ice skating rink will conclude the evening at 8 p.m. Ice skating session reservations will be available for the public after 8 p.m.

The Nightly Holiday Spectacular and musical performance by Jordin Sparks are complimentary and open to the public.
